When Squarepegs Handyman Can’t: What Happens If WE Can’t Complete Your Project

Squarepegs Handyman

Since launching Squarepegs Handyman in October of 2019, we have had the pleasure of meeting and working with a number of fabulous people throughout our community - we’ve met 1370 of you so far, to be exact! It has been an absolute blast!

We are so grateful for the astounding support of our community, and we feel nothing short of grateful to be able to work with so many wonderful people in such a beautiful setting.

Each and every one of our clients means the world to us. It is so heartening to be able to help our clients achieve their home improvement goals and we feel privileged to be welcomed into their homes and to be trusted in playing a pivotal role in what are sometimes significant changes to their home.

When a client contacts us for the first time, we arrange a free, in-person estimate.

We prefer taking a look at the work that needs to be done in person. This allows us to discuss the project with our client which helps us be sure we understand the goal they have in mind. An in-person estimate also allows us to provide a more accurate estimate which is important to us because we always stick to our estimates - we never blow out the budget and there are never unexpected costs to our client.

Sometimes, when we do our in person estimate, however, we discover we’re not actually able to complete the work our client is looking to have completed. So, what happens when it turns out Squarepegs Handyman isn’t able to tackle your project?

SOMETIMES Squarepegs Handyman Can’t Help

One of the many promises we deliver on for everyone we talk to is the promise that we’ll never lie. What this means is we would never take on a project we don’t feel confident we would be able to see through to completion. If this is the case, we let you know.

There are a number of reasons we might not be able to take on your project.

It might be something that involves electrical work, or it might involve plumbing. We don’t have the skillset in our team to take on these types of projects. Your project might be one that involves specialised equipment that we don’t have or maybe it’s not something we could safely accomplish without putting one of our handymen or handywomen in harm’s way. Sometimes it could be as simple as not having the expertise necessary to complete the project.

We want our clients and our community to have confidence in our abilities and our craftsmanship so, when someone enquires about a project we can’t carry out, we put our hands up and say so.

We’d never want to leave anyone high and dry, so, when we’re not able to complete a project, we make sure we help out by offering recommendations of businesses and professionals we have worked with in the past and know to be reputable.

We will always do our absolute best to help get the job done - even when it means recommending another business.
