The Most Challenging IKEA Flat Packs

Squarepegs Handyman The Most Difficult IKEA Flat Packs to Assemble

Have you been wondering whether it's a hassle to put together?

Swedish meatballs and inexpensive flat-pack furniture are two of IKEA's most recognisable trademarks, but the company is also well-known for its enormous stores. The Swedish firm that makes furniture also has a downside, however, and that's the fact that it's quite difficult to put together. It's a truth that most people have a hard time putting together IKEA furniture, and it doesn't matter whether it's because they lack handyman abilities or because the instructions are ambiguous. We all know that not everyone has the same ability to understand IKEA's wordless instruction manuals. Similarly, not every item sold by IKEA has the same value.

The 2 Most Difficult IKEA Flat Packs to Assemble

The two most difficult IKEA flat packs to put together are PAX Wardrobe, and BESTA Wall mounted unit.

PAX Wardrobe

The PAX wardrobe, which arrives in a whopping 7-foot-tall box, is the most complicated IKEA product to put together. It will take a long to put together, what with all the drawers and pull-out trays, and the more than 150 pieces (including sliding doors, good luck with them). Many would want to have a PAX wardrobe, but few like the prospect of DIY assembly. Definitely not as enticing.

BESTA Wall Mounted Unit

A flat-pack furniture item that, once assembled, will offer your living space a magnificent final appearance. Why? Okay, because of how big it is. The contained wall fastener is required to secure the BESTA tv set to the wall. The fact that, depending on your home's walls, you'll require a different anchoring device makes assembly much more of a hassle. You do realise that each of these components is available for purchase alone, right? No? The good news is that the TV bench has a weight limit of fifty kg. This means you may confidently purchase a television of your choosing.
